A lecture on the technological path and industrialization potential of perovskite was held in Xiamen, Fujian province, on May 31.

Hosted by the Xiamen Torch Academy and under the guidance of the administrative committee of the Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries, the lecture brought together about 100 representatives of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain and investors to discuss the future development of the photovoltaic industry.

In his speech on the rise of perovskite cells, Fan Bin, founder and chairman of GCL Photoelectric Materials, talked about perovskite’s reshaping of the PV industry, the impact of perovskite technology on the PV market, and the upgrading of the energy industry.
“China has always maintained a leading position in perovskite technology from the experimental stage to mass production. In the context of energy transformation, perovskite, as a new force in the PV industry, will trigger a more far-reaching industrial upgrade," he said.
Fan also exchanged views with representatives of Huoju Xinyuan Electric Power Technology Co Ltd, Xiamen Funano New Material Technology Co Ltd, Xiamen Mibet New Energy Co Ltd and TPK Material Solutions (Xiamen) Inc on Xiamen’s PV industry and cooperation among enterprises in the industrial chain.

They learned about the respective advantages of their enterprises and discussed the comprehensive conversion rate of perovskite tandem, the applications and operations of DPV, future PV support bracket applications, as well as the commonalities and cooperation between the perovskite and flat panel display industries.
