The roundtable discussion and graduation ceremony for the second phase of the cultivation program for technologically advanced enterprises, held in the Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries in Fujian province, concluded on June 2, as nearly 50 senior executives completed six modules of immersive learning.

During the keynote speech session, Hou Ming, an official with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the innovation center of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR), analyzed the significance of empowering the high-quality development of specialized and sophisticated SMEs that produce new and unique products. He shared the achievements made by incubating such enterprises and introduced favorable national policies.

In her speech titled "Exploring the Innovative Path of School-Enterprise Cooperation for Specialized and Sophisticated SMEs that Produce New and Unique Products", Yang Hua, an official with Huaqiao University (HQU), shared her insights into the characteristics and strengths of such enterprises, HQU’s models and measures in industry-university-research cooperation, and the school-enterprise collaboration.
At the roundtable discussion on "Deepening the Collaboration of the Technological Innovation Application Chain to Enhance Enterprises’ Internal Driving Force", Chen Kaixuan, technical director of Xiamen Changelight Co Ltd, shared his company’s engagement in technological innovation, talent training and development of incentive measures, and encouraged entrepreneurs to build the core competitiveness of their companies.
Xue Xian, deputy general manager of Xiamen Jiarong Technology Co Ltd, as a trainee of the first phase of the cultivation program, shared Jiarong's innovative growth, highlighting the importance of a company’s internal innovation that starts from institutional construction.

At the graduation ceremony, Fu Jing, executive vice-president of the Xiamen Torch Academy, delivered a speech and presented graduation certificates to the trainees.
Huang Yunlong, GM assistant of Xiamen Fuxinyao Industry and Trade Co, said the field trips to the enterprises of trainees promoted communication and cooperation among them, which facilitated their common growth.
Chen Xiaoting, deputy general manager of Santa SE New Energy, said she learned the importance of innovation and gained new insights that will benefit her future development.
“I will maintain the enthusiasm and motivation to study, constantly improve my professional skills and qualities, and make greater contributions to the company's growth," Chen added.
Zhuang Huayang, director of Fujian Runheng Law Firm, expressed his gratitude for the industry-technology integration and innovation program initiated by the Xiamen Torch Academy.
Visiting industrial parks, production lines, listed companies and Fortune Global 500 corporations, and discussing the differentiated development paths of specialized and sophisticated SMEs that produce new and unique products helped us acquire knowledge, broadened our horizons, and brought us valuable friends, Zhuang said.
