A lecture on intelligent applications in the energy storage sector, co-hosted by the Xiamen Torch Academy and the Sensors and IoT Industry Association, opened on June 20, in Xiamen, Fujian province.

The event brought together experts from higher education institutions and industrial circles, as well as several domestic sensor manufacturers and energy storage application companies, to discuss collaborative opportunities and future trends in the sector, particularly in areas such as safety control and sensor applications.

Notable speakers at the event included Song Wenji, deputy director of the Energy Storage and Hydrogen Research Lab at the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Gong Zhengliang, professor at the College of Energy at Xiamen University.

They delivered speeches on energy efficiency management of novel energy storage systems and energy storage battery life prediction and intelligent sensing technology, and shared their latest research findings and insights into the industry's overall landscape and cutting-edge technology.

From a practical perspective, Xiao Jiaqi, CTO of the energy storage division at Shanghai String Technology Ltd, and Chen Zhengyou, head of research and development at the Shenzhen Ampron Technology Corporation, presented case studies on electrochemical energy storage lifecycle management and the application of pressure and temperature sensors in energy storage systems, respectively.

Representatives also visited an ABB subsidiary in Xiamen to investigate the development of smart energy management platforms, gaining insight into the progress made in this area.

As part of the event, a dedicated session aimed to facilitate technical discussions and collaborations among blockchain-based enterprises in the energy storage field was held.

The session featured an exchange of views on the intelligent application of dedicated energy storage battery technologies and high-end intelligent production equipment for new energy lithium batteries.

During the discussions, four companies expressed preliminary intentions to collaborate and explore further partnerships.
